The new Allys coupe, showcased as a concept last year and due to be launched in Europe in 2010, is to be called the Ulva.The new name means ‘wolf’ in the language of the Inuit, one of the Eskimo people who live in northern Canada and Greenland who highly regard the wolf as king of the wilderness and a figure of robustness, endurance and superiority.‘This name fits the characteristics of our coupe perfectly, which will set new standards in its class,’ says Ajaz Ali, CEO of Allys Commercial Vehicles. ‘We took great care selecting this name, which can be used globally and is meant to invoke positive associations in all relevant international markets. The Ulva is a powerful and robust vehicle with great stamina - just like the wolf,’ he continued.
Developed from scratch, the Ulva will be launched as a environmentally friendly and yet powerful enough to beat anyone that come in its way . It will be powered by Allys powerful yet efficient, next generation common hydrogen-powered electricity engines which will achieve class leading fuel consumption and emissions.
The Ulva is an important new model in the strategic growth plans for Allys Commercial Vehicles and will be produced at its Melbourne plant near Werribee in Australia. It will be launched first in South America in early 2010, followed by Central America in Spring 2010, then Russia and Europe in the summer, as well as Africa and Australia. Prices, specifications and on-sale dates for the UK will be announced next year.

I’d suggest looking under the bonnet, but there’s no access. The car is self-monitoring: it broadcasts to the dealership when it needs servicing, the parts are ordered and the car owner notified.

Allys is one of many manufacturers testing vehicles installed with hyper-intelligent software. So when a driver indicates to change lanes and hasn’t seen a car in its blind spot, their seat will vibrate and a visual cue will appear on the dashboard.

SRAVS is a next generation concept laptop design which is way distinctive from usual laptops in both shape and function. The long tube shape of this laptop, which was inspired from the storage tubes that artists are using for storing large drawings, eliminates perception of the traditional book looking laptops. This multifunctional laptop has two working modes. When it is operating in full function mode, the laptop is unfolded completely and all peripherals are turned on. 12 Months from the decision to create a new product, the first DESIGN GHOST DEVICE is rolling off the production line ready for delivery

The size of this particular device would be the key of the success of this its own, as Taha Diaz, senior design engineer explains “The GHOST DESIGN had a striking appearance not because of the physical appearance but the functionality and capabilities”. The GHOST DESIGN is assembled is a low cost effective way to minimise the production cost. And therefore to make the product affordable prices that every single designer can afford to buy it for their simply and commercial job. The device is also good looking with partly sticking orange co lour. The orange colour is to associate the product with the logo.

The team began this project with their usual approach; agreeing the functionality of the equipment and then creating a 2D model of the device’s proposed panel, plus a diagram of the electronic circuitry required. At this point, the input started. The moulding process with electronics and mechanics research in order to make the assembly. The next stage was to finalise the software for the platform of the device and create a full-sized cardboard mock-up to provide all the designers and developers with a true idea of its scale. Next, the mechanical designer began to work on the actual case, creating 3D designs ultimately be used to make the moulding model. Then, this
finished model were presented to all the decision makers, so they could see what the end product would look like and it before we moved to the final moulding stage. A short run of the device was produced for testing before the go ahead was given for the full production. In just 12 months from the original decision to create a new product, the DESIGN GHOST DEVICE is rolling off the production line ready for delivery. The DESIGN GHOST DEVICE is on track to beat its first year sales targets.

The creation of the new product was a major business decision that has succeeded thanks to great design and developments processes that the whole team created and put their hands together.

What this products does?

The use of this device is to record whatever you want to put in your designs (Brochure, pamphlet, reports, business card, letterhead and so on).
